Border
Cross stitch borders around the name Emma: hearts, arches and diamonds, on a 44 × 24 stitch chart
The name “Emma” framed by three cross stitch borders: hearts, arches and diamonds.

A border that fits just right

The border is the stixiva editor's own: its design is centered on each side, then completed the same way to the left and right, so the four corners match whatever the chart size, from 20 to 200 stitches.

The text is centered inside, at least 2 stitches away from the border. If it doesn't fit, make the chart bigger: a line of 4 letters takes 23 stitches across and 7 down.

A birth announcement frame

A name on the first line, the date of birth on the second, a border of hearts or arches: a gift you can stitch in a few evenings. To add a small motif, see the free small patterns, or design the whole frame in the editor.

Does the border fit every size?

Yes: from 20 to 200 stitches per side, the design is centered on each side and the corners match up.

Can I add a name and a date?

Yes, on two lines: the text is centered inside the border, using the editor's alphabet and its accented letters.

And in the editor?

The same borders go around the whole chart or a selection, and “Stitch this frame in the editor” opens this frame as a new project, ready to fill in.
